Kano is another artist from a breakout generation of grime, but before he was in that Def Jam Video Game and before he showed us his acting chops in Top Boy, he was K-A, member of the N.A.S.T.Y CREW, and all around lyrical don. From the early days of Ice Rink Riddim, to his more polished studio releases, to his clashes with Wiley in Jammers Basement, and even one or two tracks with Mike Skinner’s The Streets– Kano came up through the grime scene and never forgot it. Likewise, these are the tunes that that cast our minds back to Akademiks, Nike TNs, chirpsin girls and gully bars.
